By participating in our surf lessons, booking our services, or accessing our website, you agree to comply with these terms. - Lesson Bookings
1.1 Booking Confirmation: All surf lesson bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. We will make our best efforts to accommodate your preferred time and date. However, booking confirmation is only considered valid once we have received the required payment and provided a confirmation email.
1.2 Age and Skill Requirements: Participants must meet the minimum age and skill requirements specified for each lesson type. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are suitable for the chosen lesson. We reserve the right to refuse participation if we believe it may compromise your safety or the safety of others.
1.3 Health and Fitness: Surfing can be physically demanding. By booking a lesson, you confirm that you are in good health and have no medical conditions or physical limitations that may prevent you from safely participating in the activity. If you have any concerns about your health or fitness, please consult a medical professional before booking a lesson.
- Cancellations and Refunds
2.1 Cancellation by You: If you need to cancel or reschedule your lesson, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson start time may be subject to a cancellation fee or forfeiture of the booking fee, at our discretion.
2.2 Cancellation by Us: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse weather conditions or instructor unavailability. In such cases, we will make our best efforts to provide an alternative arrangement or offer a full refund of any fees paid.
2.3 No-Shows: Failure to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice will result in the forfeiture of any fees paid, and no refunds or rescheduling will be provided.
- Participant Responsibilities
3.1 Safety Guidelines: Participants must adhere to all safety guidelines, instructions, and rules provided by our instructors. Your safety and the safety of others are of utmost importance.
3.2 Equipment Care: You are responsible for taking care of the surf equipment provided during the lesson. Any loss or damage caused to the equipment due to negligence or misuse may result in additional charges.
3.3 Conduct: Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards the instructors, staff, and other participants. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in the termination of the lesson without refund.
- Limitation of Liability
4.1 Assumption of Risk: Participating in surfing activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to, the risk of injury, accidents, or damage to personal property. By engaging in our surf lessons, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
4.2 Release of Liability: To the extent permitted by law, you agree to release Ride a Wave Surf School Weligama and its instructors, employees, and agents from any liability for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during or as a result of participating in our surf lessons.
- Intellectual Property
5.1 Content Ownership: All intellectual property rights, including but not limited to, photographs, videos, logos, and website content, belong to Ride a Wave Surf School Weligama. You agree not to use, reproduce, or distribute any of our copyrighted material without our prior written consent.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
